Lancaster Public Art's Black History Month event will honor African Americans in uniform

Video interviews by storytelling group WE&Company with three men in uniform will be shown Friday in the City Hall Gallery & Council Chambers. The celebration will also include performances by spoken word artist Gracie Berry, West African dance group Imani Edutainers, historical arts production group Theatre for Transformation and Lancaster musician and artist Gerri McCritty.

Art exhibit in Downtown Lancaster highlights work from Black artist and celebrates Juneteenth

Today's announcement declaring Juneteenth an official holiday has made a lot of people excited to celebrate. That includes Black artists involved in a new art showcase in Downtown Lancaster. WGAL News 8's Jeremy Jenkins is live in Lancaster City to get reaction from local artists of color on what the holiday means to them and the impact it will have on the nation.
